Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and how you can have it removed. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us. If you request an invitation or contact us, that means:

• your name;
• your email address;
• anything you write in your message to us.

If you go on to book a retreat, we additionally collect the information needed to run it safely and lawfully — travel dates, emergency contact, and any dietary or health information you tell us. Health information is sensitive, so we ask for it only where it is necessary for your safety, we use it for nothing else, and we delete it after the retreat ends.

Cookies and similar technologies

As of the date at the top of this page, this website sets no cookies at all. There is no analytics, no advertising tag and no tracking script on these pages. The request form hands your message to your own email application; it stores nothing in your browser and sends nothing anywhere until you press send.

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. If we introduce them, we will use them in two categories, and we will treat them differently.

• Strictly necessary. These would make the site work — remembering your cookie choice, and keeping a form submission secure. They store no advertising identifier and cannot be used to follow you across other websites. These are the only ones that would be set without consent, because the site cannot function without them.
• Advertising and measurement. If you consent, we would set cookies that let us measure whether an advertisement led to an enquiry, and show relevant advertising on platforms including Facebook and Instagram. This is the Meta Pixel and comparable tools.

Advertising cookies would only ever be set after you agree. You can decline, and the site works exactly the same. You can change your mind at any time by clearing cookies for this site in your browser, or by writing to us. Before any advertising or measurement cookie is used on this site, this page will be updated with a new date and you will be asked first.

We do not use session recording, mouse tracking, or device fingerprinting. We do not buy contact data, and we do not sell, rent or trade yours.

Fonts and all other assets on this site are served from our own domain. Nothing is loaded from a third-party content network, so simply reading these pages transmits your IP address to nobody but us.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• To reply to you. If you ask for the invitation, we use your email to send it and to answer your questions. Basis: your request, and our legitimate interest in responding.
• To run a retreat you have booked. Basis: performing our contract with you.
• To keep you safe on site. Basis: your explicit consent for any health information, which you may withdraw at any time.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations. Basis: legal obligation.

Who else sees it

Your information is handled by Healing Arts E.I.R.L. and by a small number of service providers that make the business function — our email provider, our website host, and our payment processor if you book. They process it on our instructions and for no purpose of their own.

Named service providers:

• Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery (the domain itself is registered through GoDaddy).
• Google (Gmail) — receiving and answering your email.
• Payoneer — payment processing, only if you book.
• Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd — advertising measurement, only if and when advertising cookies are enabled on this site, and only with your consent.

We disclose personal information to no one else, except where the law requires it.

Advertising and social platforms

We advertise on platforms including Facebook and Instagram. Those advertisements are shown to you by Meta on Meta’s own platforms; this website carries no Meta Pixel and reports nothing back to Meta about your visit.

Should that change, it would work as follows, and only where you have consented to advertising cookies: the Meta Pixel tells us that an enquiry followed an advertisement, and allows Meta to show our advertising to people with similar interests. Meta acts as an independent controller for the data it collects this way, under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.

You can limit this at any time in your Facebook ad preferences, by declining advertising cookies here, or by using your browser’s tracking protection.

International transfers

If and when Meta’s advertising tools are enabled on this site, data collected by them is processed by Meta in the United States and other jurisdictions under Meta’s Standard Contractual Clauses; see Meta’s privacy policy for details. Our own copies of what you send us are stored with the named service providers listed above.

For California residents

We honour “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” requests. If and when the Meta Pixel is enabled on this site, we will transmit Meta’s Limited Data Use signal for any such request, which restricts Meta to acting as our service provider for that data. Not affiliated with Facebook or Meta

This site is not a part of the Facebook website or Meta Platforms, Inc. Additionally, this site is not endorsed by Facebook in any way. FACEBOOK is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: deleted within 24 months, or immediately on request.
• Health and dietary information: deleted once the retreat has ended.
• Booking and payment records: retained as long as tax and accounting law requires, then deleted.
• Advertising measurement events (only if and when the Meta Pixel is enabled on this site): retained server-side for 90 days, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can withdraw consent at any time. You will never be charged for asking, and asking will never affect how you are treated.

To request deletion of your data, email florian@florianrolke.com with the subject “Delete my data”. We will confirm within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Peru, the Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales (ANPD); in the EEA or the UK, your local data protection authority.

Security

Access to personal information is limited to those who need it to do their work, and it is held in access-controlled systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you.

Children

This retreat is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with an updated date. Material changes affecting how we use information you have already given us will be sent to you by email.
